Hi Dolls,
Hard to believe that this year is almost over. 2011 has been a roller coaster for my business and my personal life. I'm happy that it's almost over. I welcome 2012 with arm wide open. I see a lot of different opportunities opening for my business.
Everyone always talk about New Year Resolutions. I'm am not a fan of making promises that are normally broken in the first couple of hours making them or in the days that follow. That is why I'm not making any resolutions. I am a determined women to get what I want. Instead of making resolutions. I'm going to be writing down my goals everyday for things that I need to get done that day. Rather it networking, Advertizing, etc. One thing that I am going to be working hard on beside by business will be branding myself.
If you all know me, you already know that I'm comfortable in my skin and what I wear. I love my jeans and my sneakers. You would only see me in heels when there is a special event. Now that I'm making myself into a business person. I need to dress the part. I will be doing a a complete make over of my closet with in a couple of weeks. I will be posting blog about my daily look with my outfit for the day and my make up and hair done as well.
This year is important to me because I'm seriously tired of working for a company that does not appreciate what they have. I'm a one women office and it's not cute with all the stress that I have to deal with because my boss does not want to talk to someone or he has another things that are more important then running a successful company.
Melis Beauty Artistry will be offering a once a month Make up service to include false eyelashes for free. Contest will be running from the begging of every month from the 1-15 day. I'm still working out all the details about the contest. Will post once they are complete. MB Artistry will also be starting her own Video Blog. Will be from products review or different tricks about make up. Make sure to look out for that.
MB Artistry is looking foward to this new year. Lets make it the Best on every. Look Forward to my Upcoming Blog of my New Year ever look and outfit.

Color of the Day: Gold with Copper
Hey Dolls,
Sorry that I have been MIA for the past couple of weeks. I have recently been in a rut and didn't want to do my make up or even blog about anything that I has been interested to trying. Now I'm getting back to the things that I want to do and know where I am heading in my career. Still trying to figure out my steps but as I go.
Recently, I have purchased the Sephoria Collections Makeup Studio blockbuster. I have been using it on and off because I carry so many other eye shadow pallets inside my bag just in case I want to do my make up during my commute to work. Most of the time, I dont even bother doing it until I get to my office because my make up will not come out the way that I want it. If make up is on my face, I will like to feel good about what I am wearing.
The eye shadow pigment are good, some colors are more pigment then the other but if you build up the color. you will get exactly what you are looking for. The lip gloss are PERFECT. I cant get over how many different colors are inside the kit. I'm wearing one of the colors today. Perfect brush they provided to outline the lips with that color. Love the light bronzer that they have also included.
I honestly dont think I need any addition make up to what I have now. Unless it for my kit. LOl
Face: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer spf 20.
Applied a light coverage to give my face a very natural color to it.
Concealer: Mac Select cover up NW25.
Only under my eyes. Even though I have been sleeping still getting dark spots in the corner of my eyes.
Eye brow: Maybelline Expert Wear eye brown pencile in Blond & Dark Brown,Anastasia Eye brow Powder in Blond, with a clear brow gel.
Checks: Mac Blush Peaches
Eyes: Sephoria Collections Makeup Studio blockbuster.
Gold - 2nd row from the left 4th Color down. Half of my lid
Copper- 2nd row from the left 5th Color down. Outer half of my lid.
Under the brow- 2nd own from the left 2nd Color down.
Eyesliner: Mac Eye liner Gel
Lips- Sephoria Collections Makeup Studio blockbuster. It is 10th row when the pallet is completely open 5th color down.

Crown Brush Order- A little Disappointed.
Good Morning Dolls,
Remember from my previous blog, I have spoken about ordering brushes with my business name on them? I was really happy about being able to order them today. I looked at the website a few weeks back and it has stated that the minimum was 24 brushes. The website didn't say that it had to be the same style of brushes. I placed an order for 80 bushes, really excited about getting my order in early today but only to have them email me and state that I didn't meet the qualification of the private label. When I read the email, I rechecked out the website and they make some change to the private label qualifications, I canceled the order. Never the less, I was ordering about about 26 different bushes and each brush had a quantity of 3. Why was I ordering so much brushes? Because I really wanted to have my own brushes for my make up kit and a set for my personal make up bag. This dream will be put on hold for now but won't be forgotten
After rethinking about what I wanted. I placed another order of the same bruses but only 1 brush per style and order myself a travel make up brush set. It's might not have my name on it. One day I will have my business name on my brushes and I will have the clientele that would want to have my brushes.
The brushes that I just ordered will be finish off my make up brushes set and I will be able to start start filtering out the ones that are to hard and I really don't like.
Hopefully, I would get my brushes next week. I will put up pictures next week of all my brushes, so you are able to see the different between the ones that I have now and what I got in the mail. Considering also do a video blog on youtube about this. Once I decide what I will do, you will be the first ones to know.
