2012 Is right Around the Corner

Hi Dolls,

Hard to believe that this year is almost over. 2011 has been a roller coaster for my business and my personal life. I'm happy that it's almost over. I welcome 2012 with arm wide open. I see a lot of different opportunities opening  for my business.

Everyone always talk about New Year Resolutions. I'm am not a fan of making promises that are normally broken in the first couple of hours making them or in the days that follow. That is why I'm not making any resolutions. I am a determined women to get what I want. Instead of making resolutions. I'm going to be writing down my goals everyday for things that I need to get done that day. Rather it networking, Advertizing, etc. One thing that I am going to be working hard on beside by business will be branding myself.

If you all know me, you already know that I'm comfortable in my skin and what I wear. I love my jeans and my sneakers. You would only see me in heels when there is a special event. Now that I'm making myself into a business person. I need to dress the part. I will be doing a a complete make over of my closet with in a couple of weeks. I will be posting blog about my daily look with my outfit for the day and my make up and hair done as well.

This year is important to me because I'm seriously tired of working for a company that does not appreciate what they have. I'm a one women office and it's not cute with all the stress that I have to deal with because my boss does not want to talk to someone or he has another things that are more important then running a successful company.

Melis Beauty Artistry will be offering a once a month Make up service to include false eyelashes for free. Contest will be running from the begging of every month from the 1-15 day. I'm still working out all the details about the contest. Will post once they are complete. MB Artistry will also be starting her own Video Blog. Will be from products review or different tricks about make up. Make sure to look out for that.

MB Artistry is looking foward to this new year. Lets make it the Best on every. Look Forward to my Upcoming Blog of my New Year ever look and outfit.

Color of the Day: Gold with Copper

Hey Dolls,
Sorry that I have been MIA for the past couple of weeks. I have recently been in a rut and didn't want to do my make up or even blog about anything that I has been interested to trying. Now I'm getting back to the things that I want to do and know where I am heading in my career. Still trying to figure out my steps but as I go.

Recently, I have purchased the Sephoria Collections Makeup Studio blockbuster. I have been using it on and off because I carry so many other eye shadow pallets inside my bag just in case I want to do my make up during my commute to work. Most of the time, I dont even bother doing it until I get to my office because my make up will not come out the way that I want it. If make up is on my face, I will like to feel good about what I am wearing.

The eye shadow pigment are good, some colors are more pigment then the other but if you build up the color. you will get exactly what you are looking for. The lip gloss are PERFECT. I cant get over how many different colors are inside the kit. I'm wearing one of the colors today. Perfect brush they provided to outline the lips with that color. Love the light bronzer that they have also included.

I honestly dont think I need any addition make up to what I have now. Unless it for my kit. LOl

Face:  Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer spf 20.
Applied a light coverage to give my face a very natural color to it.

Concealer: Mac Select cover up NW25.
Only under my eyes. Even though I have been sleeping still getting dark spots in the  corner of my eyes.

Eye brow: Maybelline Expert Wear eye brown pencile in Blond & Dark Brown,Anastasia Eye brow Powder in Blond, with a clear brow gel.

Checks: Mac Blush Peaches

Eyes: Sephoria Collections Makeup Studio blockbuster.
Gold - 2nd row from the left  4th Color down. Half of my lid
Copper- 2nd row from the left 5th Color down. Outer half of my    lid.
Under the brow- 2nd own from the left 2nd Color down.

Lips-  Sephoria Collections Makeup Studio blockbuster. It is 10th row when the pallet is completely open 5th color down.

Crown Brush Order- A little Disappointed.

Good Morning Dolls,
          Remember from my previous blog, I have spoken about ordering brushes with my business name on them? I was really happy about being able to order them today. I looked at the website a few weeks back and it has stated that the minimum was 24 brushes. The website didn't say that it had to be the same style of brushes. I placed an order for 80 bushes, really excited about getting my order in early today but only to have them email me and state that I didn't meet the qualification of the private label. When I read the email, I rechecked out the website and they make some change to the private label qualifications, I canceled the order. Never the less, I was ordering about about 26 different bushes and each brush had a quantity of 3. Why was I ordering so much brushes? Because I really wanted to have my own brushes for my make up kit and a set for my personal make up bag. This dream will be put on hold for now but won't be forgotten
      After rethinking about what I wanted. I placed another order of the same bruses but only 1 brush per style and order myself a travel make up brush set. It's might not have my name on it. One day I will have my business name on my brushes and I will have the clientele that would want to have my brushes.
The brushes that I just ordered will be finish off my make up brushes set and I will be able to start start filtering out the ones that are to hard and I really don't like.
     Hopefully, I would get my brushes next week. I will put up pictures next week of all my brushes, so you are able to see the different between the ones that I have now and what I got in the mail. Considering also do a video blog on youtube about this. Once I decide what I will do, you will be the first ones to know.

Another day...

Hey Dolls.
I know I have been saying that I would keep up with my blog on a weekly basics. Honestly, its easier said then done. Working full time and being a mother, makes it so hard to do what I want to do.
While, I'm doing someone make up, the feeling  I feel,I can't explain. I'm so happy that nothing could take that away from me. Even when I would do my own make up, I was so happy. Honestly, the past two weeks, I have been really down and I dont know why. I feel that I have invested so much money into my kit that its just going to waste. Its not that I'm looking to make money and be rich. I just want to do what makes me happy. Im at point right now, where I dont know what I want to do !!!!!

Inaz Cosmetics- Review

Good Morning Dolls.
 How was everyone weekend? Mine was very quite, which I have needed. I spent the The 4th of July trying out the 9 samples of eyeshadow pigment I have gotten from Inaz cosmetics. This is my review about their products and customer service.

I found this company on Fackbook. I was interested in getting samples from them because I am a Make-Up Artist and I'm always interested in new products are at a reasonable price and offers the pigment satisfaction  that everyone should get when they are investing their money into a cosmetics line. If I like a product I will be filling my kit with several items from their company. If I don't like their products I would take it as a lost for the money I have spent on it already and put it in the make up I don't like draw. Why do I still keep it? Because family member of mine might like it and I will give it to them.

Lets Get this review started.

After the initial contact with  with Inaz Cosmetics. I borrowed through the pigment that they were offering. I choose colors that I didn't have in any of my pallets. That I already own. Here are the colors that I decided to pick out.

Anubis

 Anubis- Is a matte Turquoise blue

Xabith

 Xabit- Is a shimmer light orange

Gwynn

 Gwynn- Is a shimmer natural beige

Yonne

 Yonne- Is a Shimmer Light pink

Zen

 Zen- Is a shimmer turquoise

Touch me

 Touch me- is a light shimmer Pal pink

Serna

Serna- Is a matte Dark purple

Zora

 Zora-Is a light shimmer dark pink

Romance

 

Romance Is a light Shimmer purple

After I made my selection. I emailed my request to Inaz Cosmetics. They quickly send me the the invoice to pay through Paypal.

Since it was already Friday when I placed the order and it was already late after I payed for it They emailed me back and told me that they will ship out the package on Monday. Monday came and monday went.  I got my samples in the mail on Wednesday. Which for me 3 days of shipping time is amazing to me. I was so happy to get these products.

The samples arrived in a small plastic jar, which carries about 1/2 tsp of product. For me as a make up artist that seems so little. I applied the product to my hand (see below for the picture.) Both wet and dry. Their products have an amazing amount of pigment.The picture below is how the products look with Paula Dorf Transfer and how the products look try. You are able to see how much pigment are in them. 

I have both the wet and dry eyeshadow on the same arm side by side.

I am honestly starting to really love Inaz Cosmetics. I will be buying full products from INAZ..

Check them out for yourself. They do offer samples for $1.50 each. Take advantage of them offer sample because many places does not offer samples.

I will also be doing a Color of the day Blog over the next couple of days for each color that I wear make sure you check out out so you are able to see what it look like on the eyes..

Color of the Day- Bootleg Mac Products :)

 Happy Friday Again Doll

And A Happy Early 4th of July..

If you have not previous read my blog from today about the bootleg MAC* Products . Please Check it out.

So Today, I'm trying to keep it simple because it has been hot hot lately to wear foundation. I have only been wearing my MAC(real Mac) Primer. No Concealer or powders. 

Today I am wearing MAX* Hello Kitty 10 color Pallet. I only have on 2 colors today.

1St Color is the 6th Color in. It's a gold-copper color. I have that on the inner half of my eyelid. 

2ndColor is the 9th Color. It's a Gold-Brown color. Have that on the outer part of my eyelid. 

Have my water line lined with the eye fluid eyeliner.

My Eye brows are done with a blond pencil from Prestige Cosmetics and a tint also with them.

I'm simply amazed for a bootleg product to be so rich with the pigment. Unlike NYX 10 color pallet that I have been using. I do not have apply so much product. I only applied the eyeshadow 1 time. It gave me suck a great color. I'm really amazed. I will definitely be buying from this street vendor again as long as I don't have an skin reaction to it.

Color of the day-- Nothing

Hi Dolls,
 Today for me is a very down to earth day. I want to give my skin some air to breath today. What I have on today?
My Face is basically naked today. I do have on my Mac Prep & Prime Skin Visage and i also have my eye brows penciled in but that is the only thing that I have on.
Sorry that its so plan today. Gotta show you what i look like without the make up on.

I hope everyone is having a great day and is drinking lots of water.

Color of the Day-NYX 10 Color Pallet For Brown Eyes

 Hi dolls.
 I'm truly sorry about not doing my Color of the Day yesterday.I have been suffering from a really bad tooth ace for the past couple of days and it's been taking a toll on me.Thank god, I'm going to the dentist tonight to find out what is going on with it and hopefully get some pain medication or antibiotics.

Today I'm using NYX Color Pallet for brown eyes.

1st Color is 2nd color on the bottom row, Its a light forest green.
2nd color is 1st color on top row, It's a purple brownish color
3rd Color is the 4th Color on the bottom row. It's a matte brown that i have in my crease.
4th Color is the 4th color on the top arrow have that under my eyebrows.

FB Boutigue review - HazelDoll Boutique

Hi Dolls,
       I found an amazing Boutique on Facebook. They are called Hazel Doll Boutique. I reviewed their pictures to show everything that they offered. They have a lot of items but I could not afforded to get them all right now. I came across a pair of Gold Glitter shoes that I instantly fall in love with. I left them a comment on the picture to find out their availability for those shoes but unfortunately they were sold out of the gold shoe but they did have the same style of shoe but in Black Glitter. I submitted my request for the black shoes. 
      Customer service quickly send me the payment request form via email, which then I was able to pay directly from my paypal account.I submitted payment about 1:00 pm on Friday June  24 and they receive the payment and shipped out my shoes the same day. I don't even get quick customer service like this with famous shoe companies. I received the tracking information once they was pickup from the USPS. What ever, Hazel Dolls Boutique is doing in customer service they must pass that information along to all these other companies that takes 3 day for an items to ship. (3 Days is to long to wait).
     Today is June 28, 2011. I finally got in my shoes today because USPS mail man was really on a lazy day because I didn't get my box as per the Tracking number stated. Which got me even more upset with USPS because they claim they left a message ticket to go pick up the box at 3:00pm. Last time I check, I was in my office until 5:00pm. Totally impossible that he even tried to make that delivery. I would have been more understandable with USPS if it didn't leave the sorting facility in time for delivery then having them lie to me.

(It's not about USPS Today. It's About HAZEL DOLL BOUTIQUE).

I decided to go down to Post Office and get my shoes!!! I'm wearing them right now as I blog :)

First off, I normally don't get shoes with a plate form or this high of hell. I'm going to a wedding next week and I needed a shoe that is a little more elegant then my everyday shoes.

Those Shoes arrived in their own box, Completely with the shoes being stuffed with paper so it does not get damage during the transport. 

Shoes have never been worn. Which is a ++ in my book. I'm always concern how long a person wear the shoes before they wanted to return them. By looking at the shoes, there are no sign of another person feet being in them..

For my feet I can normally wear a 8 1/2 shoe size or a 9 size, as of recently I have been sticking more to the 8 1/2 size because they are more snog on my feet. 

The shoes are a little tight around my toes but that is probably due to the fact they are new shoes. There is no room between my heel and the shoe where my feel can slip out of the shoes.I have been wearing the shoes for about 2 hours now and the balls on my feet don't hurt like they normally would because these shoes has the extra padding in them for your feet which is another +++ because I don't have to go out any buy inserts for my shoes. :)

I highly recommend trying Hazel Doll Boutique. You will not be disappointed in them. They are on my top Shopping boutique on Facebook. (that would be a new blog coming up really soon.)

Color of the Day-NYX Secret World

 HAPPY MONDAY DOLLS!

I know everyone is not really happy that it is Monday early morning. I don't 

even know why I am in such a good mood. Maybe because no one has got 

on my last nerve yet.

As you all can see. I finally got my eye brows done, so happy about it.

If you check out my face book album title " My Artistry" you will

see how my eye brows looked before and now you would understand why I

 grew them in.

Today, I wanted to go for a natural look with a little

hint of color but that is not to much.  

This is another NYX 10 Color Pallet.  Secret World is the name.

It has several colors that are warm and natural colors.
What colors am I wearing today?
1st color in half of my eyelid is the 4th color from top row.
It's an orange color with glitter.
2nd Color is the 5th Color on the top row.
Outer Eyelid and blended to my crease.
This color is a brownish red.
3rd Color is the 3rd color top row
Have this color under my browns.
This is a very neutral Beige with glitter.

Really Love this pallet for those days I feel in a glittery.

Color of the Day- NYX 10 Color Pallet For Brown Eyes

 THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY GIRLS

I'm so happy that Friday is Finally here. The Count down to 5:00 pm has already started. Even tho, I don't go out much, I love the feeling that I will be able to to sleep in for the next 2 day. :) Hopefully today will go buy quickly.

Today I am using NYX 10 Color Pallet For Brown Eyes. I recently just got this one maybe about 3 weeks ago.  I have been playing with the colors and seeing what colors would look great together. I love all the colors. Normally I would do my make with 2 different pallet because 1 pallet would not hold every color that like . With the pallet, I don't have to look through another pallet for a color I like.
 

 I am wearing 3 different colors today.

1st Color is  the 5th Color bottom row . It's a light Gold color that I place under my eye brows
    2nd Color is the 4th color on top row. It's a very light beige. I placed on the Inner half of my lid.
    3rd Color is the 1st color on top row. This is like a brownish purple.. Which I place on my outer half of my lid and blended it into my crease.

Last but never lease. I applied a black Liquid Eye liner from NYX to my eyelid.

Color of the Day- NYX Smokey Eye Pallet

 Good Morning Dolls.
One More work day until the weekend. What is everyone plans? I will be practicing  on  make up, trying to come with a new idea. I'm still working on my website and getting pictures that are acceptable to be put on it. I'm also looking into starting my own youtube.com Channel. I have seen so many different wonderful lady's doing make-up tutorial. That I'm considering putting my work on there was well. I will definitely keep everyone updated.

NYX 10 Color Pallet- Smokey Eye.

It's one of those cloudy rainy days here in NYC. I know when the weather is like this I get into my lazy days and a break out the sweat pants and T-Shirts. That is exactly what I have on today. Like almost every women out there we either can't leave the house with make up on or arrive at work without any make up. For that reason I decided to do a light smokey eye. Which I'm in love with cause it came out perfectly today.

 

I used NYX 10 Color Pallet Smokey eye. I applied the 5th Color on the bottom row and applied that to my brow bone.( Even though I have not reshaped my eyebrows yet, I still like to put a little color there just to finish the look off. Then I applied the 3rd color on the bottom to half my eye lid and brought it up to my crease line. Afterward, I Applied The 4th color on the top row to the other half of my lid and blend it into my crease. Which makes the darkness of the color not so intense.

Color of the Day - NYX Strike a Pose

HOLA! Dolls. Finally I am able to put up my pictures for daily Blog. 

I'm a happy girl right now.

As you can still see my eye brows are not done yet. I'm trying to gown them out to get a better shape then what I had previously.Maybe another week before i get them done.
Today I have a very Bright Orange shirt. (I love this color orange always give me good energy for the day and make me feel happy)

With my make up. I always try to match with what I am wearing. It something that I have always done growing up. I'm currently trying to get out of my comfort zone.
More to come soon with that.

 Today, I'm NYX 10 Color Pallet - Strike a Pose. I only used 3 colors today.
Top 4th Color- Put on half on my inner lids
Top 5th Color- Put on the outer half my lid and the blending it in to my crease
Bottom 1st Color - I put under my brow bone.

I normally don't like to wear. I have this Mac Blush in Sunbasque.

Very Disppointment

Hi Dolls,

I don't know what is going on with blogspot.com today. I have been trying for hours now to do my Color of the Day Blog but the pictures are not uploading which I am very sad about. Hopefully it will be working in a few hours where i can keep you updates. I haven't bought any recent products to sit here and blog about. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I hope everyone is enjoying there day and making the most out out it.

Color Of the day- NYX Super Model Pallet

Good Morning Dolls, I know I have been slicking on doing my blog. This weekend was fathers day weekend. So we all know that the weekend must have been busy and a little crazy. But here we are another new week with a another day to start making us happy!

 NYX 10 Color pallet-Super Model.

I have 3 Colors on my lid.

1) Pink- 4th Color in from the bottom. Applied it on half of my lid

2) Baby blue- 5th in from the bottom- Only applied that to the middle of my lid.

3) Black- 5th Color from the top - Applied it to the outer lid and blending

I Blending the black into part of my crease and then blended it into my brow bone. I'm still growing in my eye brows to get then reshaped. Which will hopefully be soon.

Colors of the Day-Velet Rope.

Good Afternoon Dolls,
      Colors of the day is going to be an everyday blog for us. I will be writing about the color that I have on and what order I put them on. I have a lot of NYX 10 Color pallets, so some blogs might seem like i'm writing about the same color palate but I'm not. I normally don't use more then 3 colors on my eyes except when I'm in the mood to stand out more then normal.

Today I am using NYX 10 Color Pallet - Velet Rope.

I have on 4 different color.

1) Baby Pink. Bottom Row Last color (Left to right)

2) Pinkish Purple- Bottom Row 2nd color in

I applied Only to my eye lid. Applied twice to make the color a little more vibrant

3) Purple-Pink- Top Row 3rd color in.

I applied this color to inside crease line..

4) Purple- Top Row - 4th Color in

I only applied this color to the outer crease of my eye.
